Acer Ultrabook Aspire S3 Now on Sale $899

In the race to become the first company to debut the new Ultrabook by Intel, Acer has beat all competition when they released the Acer Aspire S3-951 Ultrabook.  This featherweight Ultrabook powers up in almost instantly, has a 6 hour battery life and 50 day stand by time.  The Intel Core i5 processor provides a super fast processor.   The Ultrabook also has USB and HDMI ports, along with a large hard drive.

“The combination of extreme mobility and affordability found in the Acer Aspire S3-951 Ultrabook will undoubtedly change the way people think about mobile computing.  Consumers are going to love the value they find in the freedom and capabilities it offers.”  Sumit Agnihotry, Vice President of Marketing

One of the great features of this new device is the Acer Green Instant on Technology.  This provides super fast response, and will boot up from sleep in 2 seconds.  The hard drive is a decent 20GB SSD.

If the Ultrabook is left unattended for 8 hours or more, it enters a “deep sleep” mode.  It take a mere 6 seconds to boot up from this mode and all documents that were left opened are restored to the state they were in when the Ultrabook was left alone.

One of the best features of the Acer Ultrabook is the price tag, starting at under $900.  It also comes in at under 3 pounds in weight and it is just a half inch thick at its thinnest.  It sports a 13.3 inch LCHD LED screen and integrates the glass panel with the cover to help reduce the size of the Ultrabook.

For wireless options, the Ultrabook has a Acer InciLink Npilfy 802.11 Wi-Fi connection to deliver reliable wireless internet at any hotspot.  There is also a Bluetooth 4.0+ HSR for short range wireless transfers.
